In business you will need to have decent access to the Internet at some point. The problem with a business grade connection is that it requires much more than a simple connection to the modem that runs to a personal computer. Yes, it would be nice to have that type of connection for a single computer, but let’s face it, it’s probably just not going to happen unless you are running a business from your home.
When you are setting up your business connection there are a number of things that you will need to do first. For instance you will need to perform some structured cabling. This will involve color coding your cables and of course properly labeling them. By doing this you will know exactly where each cable goes, and of course why you put it there.
You will need to run cables, and naturally they will have to go all over your office. You can choose to do this yourself, and if you are familiar with the way networks function then it will be pretty easy for you to set it up. After all, it’s fairly simple when you think about it, a hub here, a router there, all of which will need to be routed either through the floor or through the ceiling. Once again if you can do this, then you probably should, but many people do not have the technical expertise.
